Sentence of Marriage (Promises to Keep #1)
I loved this book. It gives such a clear viewpoint of farm life in New Zealand, i was drawn to the characters and found myself really feeling for Amy. I could not put this down and found myself willing the until i could sit and read some more to go quicker.
Mud and Gold (Promises to Keep #2)
after reading the first in the series i bought the rest on Amazon all at once.I then started this second book of the series in the middle of the night as i couldn't wait to find out what happened after the end of the first book. This second book was as gripping as the first. I have been crying along with Amy when she was at her lowest, Shayne Parkinson has a wonderful way of bringing the history of the period to life for me. Can't wait for the next one.
I can say i have started reading the 3rd in the series and am just as gripped. I have been in tears more than once as it has evoked some personal memories for me as well as strong emotions as i get caught up in the story. I am so pleased i came across this series and decided to take a risk on them. They will be ones i re-visit. This is something i feel that shows when a book is a success.
